LOUISA HOUCHEN
October 15, 2013 in Featured Artists, Digital Arts, Illustration, Sculpture
BIOGRAPHY:
A lifelong Londoner, Louisa Houchen is a flexible artist, designer, and illustrator. She creates art by the motto, “If you can think it, I can illustrate it!” Her work demonstrates that flexibility, not only through the creativity of subject matter, but in media selection and use as well. While she does conceptualize and create on her own, she feels a personal strength lies in taking a dream from a commissioner and turning that dream into reality. In doing this, she experiments with various techniques and media until she delivers exactly what her customer wants.
ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

As testament to her flexiblility, Louisa creates art through manual and computer-aided drawing; digital photography; sculpture(plastic); and digital art(digital manipulation). When asked about her favorite subject matter, Louisa lists people, flowers, animals, architecture, famous landmarks, and food; then sums it up nicely by stating, “most things, actually.” Her creations are presented as both digital files and finished sculpture.
