SUZANNE MACRURY

BIOGRAPHY:
Born in Kelowna, British Columbia, abstract artist Suzanne MacRury called Vancouver home for many years. Using an array of mixed media and resin on panels, she strives to capture the ephemeral quality that is held in the daily instances of thoughts, images and emotions that come to be her inspirations. The resulting works tend to hold textures and colors in suspension evoking various interpretations from the viewer. Although often inspired by elements in both the natural and urban environments, it is up to the viewer to discern what they see portrayed in the abstract. She moved to Toronto in 2004 and has been with the Art Gallery of Ontario-Sales and Rentals Gallery since 2008. In 2013 she moved to Montreal and currently works out of both Toronto and Montreal.
