ARTIST STATEMENT:
I am a self-taught artist and tend to paint according to my mood. My paintings mainly consist of landscapes and the countryside at different times of the day to capture the sunrises and sunsets. I also enjoy painting floral designs, studying them in detail and close up.
I’m very keen going out and about taking photos, there are many places I get influence from, being from Buckinghamshire there are some lovely spots of countryside to walk through. I do visit Kent sometimes which has some amazing sites and I have to take a picture or two.
I tend to paint from my imagination a lot of the time, I will study photos of trees and flowers but the painting as a whole will come from my imagination.
I love to paint in acrylic but will use any medium that takes my fancy. My style is big, bold, colourful pieces that capture a moment in time that I want to remember.
People say my work has a fairytale feel to it which I agree. I’m in the process or writing and illustrating my own children’s story book, this has been one of many dreams of which id like to achieve.
